Free Delivery
We offer free delivery on all UK orders.
Customs charges outside of the UK
Please be aware before ordering: All items are dispatched from the United Kingdom. If you are ordering for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you (the receiver/importer). It is accepted by you that British Jewellery Workshops has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. British Jewellery Workshops recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer.
Engraved items and Personalised items
If you choose to have your order engraved, it can take between 2 to 3 weeks to be despatched dependant on your chosen delivery method. In most cases it won’t take this long but please do add an extra 2 to 3 weeks to the expected delivery lead times shown above to avoid disappointment.
For personalised jewellery orders, it can take several weeks to be despatched.
For Personalised Gift items the lead time is quoted per product. The delivery date will depend on the delivery method chosen but the expected delivery date will be stated in the basket.
Cooling off Period
When you order from us online, you are entitled to a cooling off period when you can return your goods without any penalty. Our cooling off period is 30 days, which includes any statutory cooling off period.
This period starts the day the contract is agreed (i.e. you receive an email from us saying we have despatched your order) and ends 30 days after the day following delivery of the goods.
Certain items are excluded from the cooling off period guarantee, unless we are at fault. These are personalised or engraved items.
Cancelling an order before despatch
If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it at any time before we despatch it. Please see the Contact us page for our telephone number. You will need to give us your name and address details, as well as your order number to cancel your order.
Faulty Items
In the unlikely event that your product develops a fault within a short and reasonable period from receipt then you can return it to us and, if we find it to be faulty, we shall exchange it for you. If, however, the fault is due to excessive wear or accidental damage you will not be eligible for an exchange. Please note we cannot make any concrete promises to exchange an item, or issue a postal refund, until we have seen and assessed the item.
Secure, Insured Shipments
For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all British Jewellery Workshops orders. Please make arrangements for someone to be available at the shipping destination to sign for receipt. We urge all customers to inspect your package for damage or tampering before receiving or signing for receipt.
Exceptions To Delivery Times
In exceptional circumstances we may be unable to deliver your order within the timeframes advertised. Please see below for details:
Weather Conditions
Come rain or shine, we’ll do our very best to make sure your order gets to you on time, but please be aware that in severe or adverse conditions, our couriers may be unable to meet the advertised delivery times.
Bank Holidays
Orders are not processed on Bank Holidays so we would ask you to allow extra time for delivery when placing your order around Bank Holidays.
Fraud
At British Jewellery Workshops we take fraud seriously and do all we can to prevent fraudulent transactions. Our checks are rigorous, essential and are completed as standard for every transaction in order to protect both your security and that of our business. If an order does not pass the security checks in place we will contact the card holder to confirm that the order is valid.
